Georgie, protector of the woods!

On the Northern half of the Hemisphere, the sun is getting stronger every day. This generally means we all go outside and enjoy it's warming rays on luminous terraces, summery beaches or the blooming forest. And, being the weird species we are, leave empty bags of potato chips, cans and packages of some sort. What a scare people had this week when something hollered from between the bushes.

Georgie, usually a polite and calm piece of moss, was so fed up with the abuse of his surroundings, he unleashed a manly yell each time somebody littered in his surrounding. At first, it worked of course. Frighted humans excused themselves and took their garbage home. But eventually they got used to the green furred angry guy, and started to have fun with his bad-tempered howls. Yesterday, a game was organized to see who could make him scream the hardest. As a result, Georgie's domain is covered in trash and he has a sore throat.

Maggotzilla, revived

A few years ago, Maggotzilla tried to torture our city with her ravenous hunger for electricity. And now she's back, The Terror from the Trashcan!

Teena, the tiny carnivorous flower!

While it's hip to put your plants in or under glass, with Teena, it's a safety measure. She's tiny, but very fierce and her teeth are sharper than a razor blade. So to carry her with me (because she's great company) I protect myself with a small dome I found in a cute little jewelry store. Now we can talk about our mutual obsession for insects all day!

Soulsippers

You know that feeling, when you're craving for a cup of tea and you find a dead spider or mouse in your favorite crockery? Well, it could be a lot worse... You could look into your cup and find something has taken it over. Your porcelain could be infected with.... soulsippers.

Soulsippers are devious creatures, that will suck the life out of anyone that isn't paying attention while drinking tea. Not caring about the hot beverage being poured on their faces, they drink it right up, so the road is clear to inhale everything that defines who you are.

So, if you find a cup that has got a weird cracked layer on it, throw it away. It could be a sign that the incubation phase of the infection has already started. You don't want it to taint your other ceramics, so get rid of it. I've disposed of all of our stoneware and I'm sticking to Long Island Iced Teas out of transparent glasses from now on.

Meet the Barklings!

In a place far away, where all things are enchanted, a big magical tree is guarded by elves and unicorns. To find this tree, you have to submerge the deepest lakes, ascend the most sky-scraping mountains and defy the seven wicked witches. When you arrive at this wooden giant, an elf will look into your heart. Only the purest of souls will pass their verdict. Others will be impaled by the unicorns.

Luckily, I have some influential acquaintances, who, on occasion, visit the tree and collect pieces of bark the tree sheds. How beautiful nature is; these pieces of bark, will develop into tiny individuals with characters full of wit and brilliance. They can serve you with advice in delicate matters, tell jokes that will make you the hit on every party and, if you're lucky, give you the recipe of the best apple pie you will ever taste.

I have put them in a cameo, so they're easy to carry around with you. But, with all things magic, there are some warnings. Eating a lot of apple pie will cause heart and vascular disease, so try to ignore them if they're forcing you to bake another one. They are very honest, so only ask questions you really want to know the answer to. And last, but not least; don't ever get them into contact with water, you don't want a whole army of these critters, trust me.
